While lounging on the couch this morning enjoying my vacation, I was looking through Planet Lotus and saw that Gab, Paul and Ed all posted about this years Lotusphere Idol. If you're not familiar with Lotusphere Idol, click out the hotlinks on their names and read all about. But in summary, Lotusphere Idol is a great way of bringing new speaking talent to the stage to get 5 minutes to cover their session abstract. If the topic and presentation wins the hearts and minds of the judges, the winner gets a full 1 hour session at Lotusphere! I did it a couple of years ago and had a "stressful blast" doing it, (blog entry here). So, if you are:
A. Someone with a great session idea
or
B. Someone who submitted a session abstract and was turned down
Read the submission rules from the above links and just do it! You never know where it could take you!
