Time keeps on slippin'....

Wow. It's weird to ponder the passage of time. Today is Denise and I's 8th wedding anniversary. It's also the 9th anniversary of our first date. Denise and I had our first date on April 25, 1997 and were married one year later on that date. Now, 8 years have passed, and it just doesn't seem like it. I mean, when you spend so much time with someone you love so much, it just speeds by. I've seen Alex, our son, go from being a little boy to a young man in that time. We've welcomed Molly into the world, and now she is a feisty little 6 year with a 'tude. But it doesn't seem like that much time has passed. Looking back on how much my life has changed in this 9 years makes me wonder what my life could have been like had we not met. I was close to moving to Detroit just before I met Denise. When I met her, and looked into her eyes, I knew at the moment that she one the one I was going to spend the rest of my days with. I had found my soul-mate, the other half of me in her. She's truly my best friend and confidant. She's the one I share my dreams with and together we plan for the future. She's the one that kicks me in the butt when I need it to motivate me to make those dreams come true. And, she's the one that accepts me for who I am. Warts and all. I don't have to be perfect around her, I just have to be me. Thank you for 8 years of being Mrs. Donaldson. Thank you for sharing the last 9 years of your life with me. I will always love you, Denise.
