For a while now, I have been having issues with setting up the new 700w on our company laptops. The ActiveSync would install okay, but then getting ActiveSync to see the Treo was a whole other problem. Finally got it figured out today. The new version of ActiveSync installs to the PC like another network adapter. So once the device is connected, and Windows sees this new network adapter, follow these steps.
1. Right click on "My Network Places", and select properties.
2. Located the adapter in the list. It will likely say "Windows Mobile Device".
3. Right click on that, and select Properties.
4. In Properties, put a check mark in "Client for Microsoft Networks" and "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)".
5. Click OK.
6. You should now be able to sync.
Took me a couple of days, but got it working.
In other news, did a huge pile of laundry last night. The usual Polo and T-Shirt combination. Taking tomorrow off to do my shopping and pack and get ready for the trip to Orlando. Starting to get excited about Lotusphere. Can't wait!
