"Lotus"phere 2012 - The end as we know it?

Seems like the chatter is picking up early this year.  And after reading tweet's, blog comments and other social media, one question keeps coming to mind already.
Will this year be the last "Lotus"phere as we know it?
Does it matter?
No.
Is change good?
Yes.
Is it time for IBM to dropkick the Lotus name to the vapors of the Interwebs?
Last year, I was all against it.  I believe in brand recognition.  But time changes things and I think that this change would be a good one.  For the product line to thrive and grow, it's time.
But that's just my two cents sitting here on a Tuesday night with Glee on in the background.  Ya, that's how we roll here.  What say you?

I agree but I think it will end up being a gradual shift.

I would tend to agree with you, Andy. It seems like this year is more rushed and there's less build-up in terms of abstracts and such. We'll see in a couple of months. :)
