Notes 8.5.1 is missing one thing....or am I

When I was playing around with the 8.5.1 Domino Administration client, I noticed one thing missing that I've grown to rely upon in my daily routine. The "Space Used" column.
(as seen in 8.0.2)

I know it was there in 8.5.0 and previous versions. I went into the Administration client, File-Preferences-Administration Preferences-Files Tab and under Available Columns, I don't see it anywhere. Just curious if it's just me or is this setting truly gone?
Besides that, so far, so good with the Standard client.
Tomorrow, the server fun begins!

I'm guessing it's been removed for some perfectly (in)valid reason, (to accommodate the DAOS related columns perhaps?), as I can no longer see it either. And, like you, I used the "Space Used" column on a daily basis within my Admin client too.

However, I don't think I'll miss it too much, once I get my production servers upgraded to 8.5.1 and have DAOS installed on them.

Andy - it wasn't included in the last Beta build and I posted a comment about it on the beta forum as we depend on it too. I'm not sure why it wouldn't have been included?

So far, I think it's removal from the product is a conspiracy involving:
- The Government
- The Freemason's
- IBM
and
- Kanye West.

Imma let u finish, but that %used column was the best column evar!

I've opened a PMR. Back in May I mentioned to Development that this column was rendered useless if DAOS was turned on. Rather than show the how much space the data occupied in a database & how much free space there was, it showed the % difference between the physical & logical size of the DAOS enabled database. Not a useful number.

Maybe this is their solution? Just remove it altogether?

I want it back!

Lotus supoport response to my PMR is that "it was decided that "Space Used" will be completely removed from the admin client as it was deemed no longer necessary."

I think we need to start a grass roots effort to have put back in.

Hi Chris,
I just read your response and am a little sad to hear that. I've opened up an idea on Ideajam. Hopefully that will get some attention.

This has a lot of attention from the development team, and discussions are ongoing about how to address it. I know that's not much of an update, but I can assure you that awareness isn't a problem on this one.

@Chad
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! Thank you so much for responding to this!
It's great to always here that IBM is listening to us and taking things into consideration!
