Upon walking up this morning, I noticed an email saying that the item had been sold! For the top $250 price! All excited, I get dressed and headed down to the computer to send an invoice for their purchase. Shortly after that on the way to work I get the following message on my BlackBerry:

A couple things sprang to mind after reading that email:
- No one that I have ever met from the Detroit area starts a conversation, let alone an email with "Greetings to you"
- The line "serving our beloved nation in Ca with the United Nations". Either the UN has opened up shop in California or Canada. The registered address for this person is in Michigan. Hmm...something smells fishy.
- You want me to send it to Nigeria? I know that are a lot of anti-spam rules regarding Nigeria.
In the end eBay said that they would credit me my selling fees and I can relist the device. Dang it! I wanted to buy my new camera lenses this weekend! The items back up for bid but with some changes and hopes that I can actually sell it this time.
Frackin' scammers! Keep your fingers crossed for me.
