1. I am the product of a Catholic school education. For 8 years I attended Our Lady of Loretto in Redford, Michigan. I grew up about 4 houses down from the school, so that's where all of my brothers and sisters went too. That might explain why I am totally against uniforms of any type. I'm not comfortable unless I am in jeans. I hate having to do the "business casual" thing. And if there is a tie involved, I cringe.
2. From the time when I was a senior in high school until about 22, I wanted to be the next Ansel Adams.
Picture taken around 1988 in my parents front yard.
I was fortunate enough to go to a high school that had black and white photography classes. I was hooked after taking the first class. I had a dark room in my parents basement and spent hours on end down there. Along with spending countless dollars on my Dad's water bill. He used to get so ticked off at me for running the water at all hours of the night. Hey, at least I wasn't out running around at all hours of the night. That happened after I moved out of the house ;-) Actually, photography has started to become a bigger hobby of mine again. So much so that I have just ordered a digital SLR. I hate that I can't do all the things I want to with a point and shoot digital. It's cool that I can do black and white again using my computer and not having to get my hands in photo chemicals.
3. I still pretty much hang out with the same people I did in high school. It's been 20 years now since I left there and there have been several important additions to the group, but they have all come from additions to the "core" group.
4. I am on the cover of two published works. Available on Amazon.com even. "50+ Ways to Play with Your Paintballs" and "The Weekend Warriors". My buddy Scott is a stay at home Dad and an author. His first couple of works are stories about our adventures in paintball. He has gone on to write a couple of world war 3 titles, and also some VERY in-depth work on the war on terror.
5. In 1988, I joined Air Force ROTC. I quit a week later after they told me I had to loose 55 pounds before I would be issued a uniform. I guess I wasn't that much interested in being an officer after all.
That's all I got. Hey Shannon! Tag! You're it!
