A podcast and a Pearl bug

First off, if you have been living under a rock for the past year and you have not yet taken a listen to the "Taking Notes podcast" , now is the time to check it out! This week, Bruce Elgort and Julian Robichaux interview Mike Rhodin. That's right. The big cheese, head honcho, main man of Workplace, Portal and Collaboration Software at IBM. In other words, the man behind Lotus Notes and its future. It's a great primer as we enter the Lotusphere season.

Also found out something today about a bug between the BlackBerry Pearl and Lotus Notes. It seems that the unread message count on the Pearl is easily confused by the amount of messages that had been sent by the Notes desktop client. I had a person call me to say that they had only 10 messages in their BlackBerry inbox, all read, but the indicator was saying that there were 7 unread message. I called BlackBerry support and they informed me that there is a bug on the Pearl and the cell vendors are testing the fix now. Hopefully that will be fixed soon. But that's the great thing I have found about dealing with RIM. When there is a problem, they are on top of it and fix it quick, unlike other mobile vendors out there.

Well, that's it for now, Smallville is starting ;-)
(Yes, I am THAT much of an uber-geek.)

Smallville is awesome!! Man, the audio feed on my cable went out last night when Oliver and Lex were shooting at each other. It didn't come back on till about 10 minutes left in the show. :(

Anday,

Thanks for the kind words about the podcast and thanks for listening. What can we do to make the podcast better?

@Chris - They are really starting to set up Lex for his major "turn" to become the evil Lex from Superman lore. Looking forward to seeing that.

@Bruce - I really couldn't think of a way to change it. I wouldn't. The way you guys are able to conduct interviews is great. Just keep on keepin' on!
