Our big day in New Philadelphia

Have you ever seen that show on NBC called Three Wishes? Well, haven't ever watched it, but I guess it's a show that goes around to towns and grants wishes to people. This past week, they have been in our county filming segments and granting wishes. (You have to remember, in rural America, a county is the same thing as saying "in our town filming"). Anyways, the show is hosted by singer Amy Grant. What they normally do is set up a big tent at a central location, and people line up for hours to have their wishes heard and possibly granted. It was really neat watching the production crew set up shots and work the equipment, but what was really neat was seeing someone popular like that up close. No big security set up, she was walking around with some of the production staff and no real barrier between the crowd and her. Denise got a good shot of her talking to people.
Molly kept saying "That's Shannon", and we kept telling her that it was a popular singer. It was pretty cool. If you happen to be watching the show, and you see a big guy walking around in his yellow 2005 C.U.L.T shirt, that's me.
All and all, it was a fun day. After having our brush with Hollywood, we went and got some lunch, stopped by the library to pick up some movies for the kids, I stopped at the grocery store and picked up "Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" (which sucked in my opinion. The BBC one I watched a long time ago was better), then went to my brother-in-laws for dinner with the family.
On the Lotus Notes side of things, the first pilot group got the client upgrade the other day, and he rollout worked great. The second wave gets theirs on Monday, then the rest of the company gets it in waves. It's going to be busy for a while. But it's worth it. Oh ya, the message queue pool is still full.
Well, that's it for now blog rangers. G'nite.
