Round one done!

Well, round one of the migration from Exchange to Notes is done. Day 1 went pretty smooth. No real problems with the mail files coming over. The first session yesterday was a nightmare. I registered 10 people in Domino, went to start migrating them, and the application red-screened. Then, my phone starting ringing with every sort of problem imaginable. Then, one of the accounts that I created early in the morning, was denied access to the server. When it was all said and done, it took 2 1/2 hours to do a 1 1/2 hour job. The afternoon sessions were smooth, but, at that point, I was fried.

To follow up an earlier post about cut and pasting yourself in the Domino Directory. I got a call from one of the Exchange admins saying that they could no longer see me in their GAL, even after forcing a directory sync. Weird.

So, tomorrow, it's off to disaster recovery testing in Philadelphia. Just too much fun for this cowboy. Disaster recovery of Domino. Let's see. Configure server OS, install Domino, wait for restore to complete. Watch TV while I wait.
