Don't know what to say about today's anniversary. I can remember it like it was yesterday. Sitting here at work trying to figure something out and hearing someone saying that a plane flew into the WTC. Then, another. Then, the pentagon. Then, in a field in PA.
Three years ago, our world changed, and will never be like it was before.
I can remember thinking about all those souls in the buildings as they fell. About my brother who lives in NYC. About my kids and wife, and their safety.
I can remember standing outside my house that night having a smoke and looking up at the sky, and seeing nothing but stars. Living in the country, I can see the planes coming and going from Pittsburgh, but not that night.
I can remember the memorial service at sundown on the Thursday night after it happened. How my wife, son, and I stood there with candles and prayed for the lost, and for our nation.
Remember how you felt that day.
